This is what makes the game so interesting: does the opponent really has a good hand or is he just making a big bluff.
If we consider that bluffing is lying, then the continuation bet is the "white lie". One way to bluff often used in the tables is the continuation bet. If a player does not make a continuation bet, it becomes obvious to the opponents that he doesn’t have a strong hand. If you bet pre-flop and post-flop and only check after, that is a sign of weakness.
